Handle the material and the record.

Use appropriate laboratory controls, protective equipment, storage, and disposal procedures for the specific material. Follow the product label and your institution's protocols. Keep products away from children and anyone who is not trained to handle research materials.

Where a batch report is available, match its lot number to the physical label before relying on it. A certificate describes the sample and tests identified in that report; it does not establish suitability for a particular experiment. The COA library shows each document's current status. We do not present pending reports as completed tests.
